36 pho phuong

I find Hanoi has the most interesting way of selling goods. Every street name is after what they are selling. It was so busy with motocycles and cars buzing by and old ladies carried heavy cart selling fruits on their shoulders.

The old Quater has changed considerably since I lived in Hanoi on the late 90s. It"s developed into THE tourist centre in Hanoi. Narrow roads filled with bars, eateries, souvenir shops, and tour operators. Wonderful place to relax and plan your days day and night. Only down side is the traffic and of course footpaths blocked off by motorbikes forcing you to walk in the road. Be very careful moving around this oasis . You will find food to suit your pocket and tastes and always lots of like minded people.

Of Courage its alias very busy in Hanoi, everywhere cars and motocycles. But the old quarter is a bit more quiet....there are even streets wehre there is no traffic at all!Nice coffeplaces, lovely Boutiques and silk stores. The night market on friday and saturday evening is a must-See. Not only for buying whatever you want, more to sit down on a small chair beside the street and to observe the Youngsters of Hanoi.

This area is very busy. However there are still plenty of old buildings for U to enjoy. The streets are busy but enjoyable. This place is so different during the evening.

A live nightlife and very crowded. you can find and have variety of street food over here while watching and listening to songs played by group of buskers.

On my first day my head was spinning from the things happening around me. I gotta say I had no sleep prior. After this day I started enjoying this area as everything was happening in this place. It was fun to watch, fun to be involved & basically being part of it.I had a favorite food corner where you sit on the side walk & cook your food. Local people are friendly. I dropped a bunch of vnd & a local women shouted out to me. My phone slid out of my pocket & this young man working in this street food corner picked it up & handed it to me. Of course I"ve been lucky with honest locals. Now that I"m at Hoi An I kinda miss the Old Quarter.
